Would you normally start a journey with no clear idea of how you would reach your destination, what times the trains left, where you would stop, what you would eat?
Strangely, when we start organisational change programmes we often lack real clarity on the process for delivering change. We may start by recruiting an "experienced" programme manager, or building a new team around us - but our delivery capability is largely based on personal heroics.
If we have a compelling event that initiates our change journey and also have a relevant vision of the destination, then delivering change is dependent on the approach and processes we use to bridge the gap between these two events.
